House Expansion and Stabilization in Mill Valley

With spectacular views, houses on slopes have the potential challenge of sliding and drainage issues. Our involvement in the project included underpinning of the existing foundations for a major expansion of the crawl space areas as well as design for large openings with long span moment frames. In addition the driveway and garage retaining walls were stabilized with drilled piers, haunches, and heavily reinforced grade beams.
