Darius Abolhassani
P.E., G.E. - PrincipleWith over 36 years of professional experience, Darius has broad experience in the structural and geotechnical engineering disciplines including: building technology and construction services; instrumentation and monitoring; pavement design for roads, highways and port facilities; foundation investigation/design for bridges, parking structures, pump stations, treatment plants, pipelines and aqueducts; design and performance evaluation of dams, dikes, levees, tanks and other retaining structures; engineering of tunnels; earthquake engineering. His responsibilities include project management duties such as project planning, cost and schedule control, quality control, project execution. In addition, he is involved in business development, preparation of proposals, and client liaison. He also directs engineering analyses, supervises engineers, and reviews reports. Darius was educated in Wales and Guildford, U.K., and is professionally registered in Ontario, Canada and California, and he has worked on engineering projects all over the world.

David Lefkowitz
Civil Designer / CAD ManagerDavid Lefkowitz has been with DAC since September 2017. David manages projects from design stages through construction. His duties include AutoCAD drafting of engineering plans and details and helping prepare engineering calculations and designs. Familiar with civil and structural engineering conventions and best practices, he provides technical support in-house and on-site, such as preparing documents for permit approval and performing construction observations. Having graduated with a B.S., Hotel Administration, from Cornell University, and with an M.Arch from the Academy of Art University, David can provide clients a breadth of knowledge from various sides of the construction industry.

Frank Groffie
R.G., C.E.G., Principal Engineering GeologistFrank Groffie has worked for over 20 years as an engineering geologist in central California. His experience includes waterway investigation for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, pipelines and reservoirs for local public agencies, and rock-mechanics analysis of tall excavated slopes for private developers. He has earned a Master of Science in geological sciences, San Diego State University and a Bachelor of Arts in geology, University of California, Berkeley, and is a Certified Engineering Geologist in the State of California. Frank is a member of the DAC Team for specific projects, and has worked integrally with several Public Projects.
