DAC was the structural and civil engineer for the project. The site geology included liquefiable soils and therefore, the foundation would require driven piles or drilled piers. Due to the presence of groundwater and caving soil conditions, the approach was modified to helical piers with concrete grade beams. Grading and drainage of the project also needed to consider environmental and hydrological aspects of the riparian nature of the site.
