101 & 85 Interchange

As the project manager, Darius directed geotechnical, geologic hazard, and environmental investigations for Caltrans Route 101/85 South Interchange project. The project consisted of widening Coyote Creek Bridge at Route 101, constructing a new bridge over Coyote Creek for HOV lanes, constructing a southbound connector separation structure, widening Bernal road undercrossing at Route 101 and 85, constructing a connector and overhead structure, widening median and outside lanes on Route 101 and 85, constructing approach embankments, widening approach embankment, improving and upgrading the existing on-ramps and off-ramps, constructing retaining walls, and replacing an existing soundwall. The project includes design for rigid as well as flexible pavements for the new roadways and widening sections.
